A pioneer on Germany's roads: E-bikes from TrioBike

Saarland promotes e-bike mobility in 2018 with 700,000 euros

38 million Germans have one: the car. The value has only remained stable in recent years, but there are a lot of alternatives. But do the weekend shopping, the children in the hourly play from the piano lessons to the pool and to the friends or sometimes just for the Heimwerker project at the next building market, all this makes with the opening is no fun. And by car? Parking searches, congestion and environmental pollution have a negative impact here. Not to mention the cost ... The alternative: e-bikes. The environmentally friendly cargobikes make the dream of a smart city a step more real.

E-load wheel - what does it cost and is it worth it?

According to information from the ecological transport club Germany, the kilometer costs for an e-transport wheel are lower than those of a car or motor scooter and so quickly compensate for the relatively high purchase price. In addition to the fact that an electric load wheel is much more ecological than a passenger car because of the much lower vehicle weight from the climate and the environment, this can also save a great deal of money: the kilometer cost is 7 cents less than one-fifth Of 20,000 kilometers). According to Verkehrsclub Deutschland, this means that an E-load wheel can save € 6,000 a year compared to the small car.

Pioneer: More e-bikes sold as electric cars

In Germany, e-bikes are gaining in popularity: with more than 15,000 units sold in 2016 last year, more electric wheel bikes were sold than electric cars. In total, around 605,000 e-bikes and pedelecs were sold last year, according to the two-wheeler industry association (ZIV).
The design treasures under the e-bikes: e-bikes from TrioBike

All the best comes from Scandinavia. Chic and yet clean style, sophisticated and yet practical construction - and a lot of contemporary and modern design. The E-load wheels of the Danish manufacturer TrioBike are no exception. They come in variants with two or three wheels and the same in the design rather a (wind) sleek vehicle than a clunky load bicycle.
More than 10 years of experience and Scandinavian engineering have perfected the TrioBike today and made it one of the lightest and safest cargobikes on the market. It is a chicer racer for city and country trips, which also winds dynamically through the streets and bike paths. The weight of the load plays hardly a role thanks to the electric drive. Because all wheels from TrioBike can be equipped with Bionx drive to support them with the rear wheel motor.

The three series at a glance:

The TrioBikes are available in Cargo, Mono and Boxter models:

• The Cargo range embodies the sleek and sporty approach of the single-track system and the narrow luggage compartment or passenger compartment.
• With the Mono range, TrioBike offers a safe and elegant tricycle.
• Up to four children can be accommodated in the Boxter series.

That a TrioBike can more than "only city", shows a report in the Huffington Post. Once across Canada - in 6 days from Montreal to Vancouver: in 2014, Lamar Timmins sailed 4,000 kilometers on a TrioBike Cargorad and once again proved the diversity of the Scandinavian e-bike.

Saarland is promoting e-bikes from 2018 onwards

An e-bike promotion at federal level is not yet available in Germany. It is all the more important that countries, cities and municipalities accept this, as happened recently in Saarland. By 2018, the state will provide funding of 700,000 euros. Cities and municipalities in Saarland can apply for funding for projects that encourage citizens to switch to an electric bicycle.

Add-on: In these cities there is already a promotion for e-bikes

1. In Munich, Cargobike owners can already look forward to the city taking over the "Elektromobilität" subsidy program "25% of the acquisition costs (without VAT) up to a maximum subsidy sum of 1,000 euros for load pedelecs and 500 euros for pedelecs and electric scooters."

2. Baden-Württemberg also plans to financially support e-bicycles in the future. Companies, corporations and non-profit organizations are to receive up to € 2,000 per vehicle when buying an electric wheel.

3. With the regionally available scrapping premium for e-bikes, the university town of Tübingen has made a good impression. Depending on the environmental impact of the vehicle, applicants will receive between 200 and 500 euros if they deliver their moped or scooter with an internal combustion engine.

4. The city of Regensburg supports the purchase of an e-load wheel with a premium of 25 percent.

5. And elsewhere in Europe? In March 2017, the Austrian capital of Vienna issued a subsidy program, which subsidizes the purchase of e-load bicycles with up to € 1,000. In the Alpine Republic some 9 e-bikes are sold per 1000 inhabitants, which is more than in Germany (6.6) and in France (1.5).
