Zipp’s Total System Efficiency (TSE) design approach gives the 808 Firecrest new features, including a massive weight reduction compared to the previous version—over 280 grams lighter. The wheelset also features a hookless, tubeless rim profile with a 23 mm internal width. This is perfect for running wider tires at lower pressures, improving rolling resistance and cornering grip. TSE tackles the four main barriers to speed: aerodynamic drag, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. Zipp’s legendary Firecrest rim shape delivers high aero efficiency and crosswind stability. Zipp’s ABLC technology uses a complex dimple pattern to further enhance aero performance. And while this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you can also run tubeless or tubeless-ready tires with tubes. The 808 Firecrest with TSE builds on the legacy of this wheel as the fastest or most optimized choice for TT, triathlon, and crit racing. This wheelset is fastest with a 28 mm tire.
