Everything you need to know about the brandnew Trek Powerfly E-Mountainbike models 2018!

Trek is launching some great innovations in the bike sector with the new models of Powerfly E-Mountainbikes. For example, the integrated 500 Wh lower tube battery from Bosch, which is the perfect and powerful combination for the bikes, with the smaller and thus absolutely off-road suitable Bosch PerformanceLine CX mediummotor with 250 watts and a torque of 75 Nm.

The battery integrated in the lower tube is not only about the look, but by the more optimal weight distribution of the lower battery, a better driving feeling and thus best performance is realized. The partially integrated Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh battery can be easily removed for charging, just as the previous models of the Trek Powerfly 2017 bikes have proven to be suitable.

With the new Purion Display, which is now installed on all Trek MTB models, with the new intuitive E-MTB driving mode of the Bosch drive, the 4 support levels can be selected easily depending on the desired performance. Depending on the selected switching stage, 50, 120, 210 or even 300% drive support is available. The 500 Wh battery offers a range of up to 160 km with optimal conditions in the support stage ECO. In tough terrain and with increased use, of course, with less power is to be expected.

TREK Powerfly FS 9 LT

The Bosch PerformanceLine CX has been specially developed for off-road adventure. 3 sensors, which work with 1000 sensor measurements per second, help to adjust the individual components to the current driving behavior. Thanks to the smaller engine housing, there is now more ground clearance, thus still an absolute plus for new MTB Offroad adventures. The Trek Powerfly E-Mountainbike hardtails of the 2018 model year also receive the boost hub standard, which means they have more tire freedom and thus enable the use of tires in positive format which offer good traction on difficult terrain. As MTB tires in the plus format, the Nawl Nic swivel tires are installed - best quality even for extremely difficult terrains. According to the tire manufacturer Schwalbe, the new Addix Speedgrip tires offer a clear plus in terms of durability and grip compared to previously used materials.

The Trek Powerfly E-Mountainbikes 2018 range includes the Trek Powerfly FS (Full Suspension) bike models with 130mm suspension travel and the Trek Powerfly FS LT (Long Travel) bike with a 150mm spring travel and a comprehensive range of hardtails. The Trekbike hardtails of the 2018 model year also receive the boost hub standard, which means they are more tire-free and allow the use of tires in the Plus format, which is equipped as standard with the 9 Series of the Trek Powerfly Bikes 2018.
The bikes of the Powerfly 2018 Long Travel model series take on the challenge with the 150 mm suspension travel on the trail and in the terrain. Fork and shock absorbers never reach the stop and wait for the extreme driving experience of the e-biker. The two Powerfly LT-E mountain bike models offer an even better response and an even better control in challenging terrain and are equipped with the exclusive shock absorber from Trek.

Proven bike components were also maintained in 2018, as in the 9 Series, the optimized equipment package, including SRAM's e-bike-specific EX1 drive, Guide RE brakes, and Fox's e-bike optimized float suspension fork. Furthermore, all E-MTB models are equipped with the lightweight yet robust Alpha-Platinum frame and, of course, with the additional Motor Armor protection, which protects the integrated PerformanceLine CX motor from sitting up and rocking.
The full suspension models 2018 are of course also based on proven technologies from Trek, which promise best driving behavior, such as ABP, EVO Link and the Straight Shot sub tube.
