Trek is introducing the new Powerfly E-Mountainbikes 2019!
Now it's finally time, today, on 21.6.2018 Trek unveils the secret to thenew Powerfly models of the year 2019!
There is a lot of news about the new Trek Powerfly E mountain bikes to report, the range of models has increased significantly, there are new frames, new colors and - especially interesting for the ladies - the women's models of e-mountain bikes have got a good addition. But first things first!
The biggest novelty in 2019 is definitely the fully integrated battery with Trek's innovative Removable Integrated Battery System.
Trek has spared no expense in trying to make the integrated PowerTube battery from Bosch as user-friendly and uncomplicated as possible. In fact, an integration system has come out that stands out massively from the competition. For most bicycle manufacturers who use the fully integrated Bosch PowerTube, the battery should be removed from the frame at the bottom. Not so with Trek!
Trek engineers have thought hard about ease of use and handling should be simple and straightforward. And they succeeded! The unique RIB system (Removable Integrated Battery System), as it is simply called, works in such a way that the battery is removed from the side, on the drive side of the bike. The battery and cover are secured by the battery lock on the opposite side. If the lock is unlocked, the battery jumps out about 2 cm at the top, just enough to be removed with the integrated handle. The advantages of this technology are obvious:
- The battery is perfectly protected from dirt, even when removing the biker does not get dirty
- The battery cannot fall out due to the lateral removal position and thus be damaged
- Since the battery and cover are a part, the removal and re-insertion is so much easier
The RIB is in use on all 5, 7 and 9 series Powerfly models, giving them a sleeker and sportier appearance with the new frame shape, built on the proven geometry of Trek's many years of experience. The integrated PowerTube from Bosch is the most powerful battery in the Bosch drive systems with 500 Wh and is equipped with the unique Bosch battery management system, which is known for its long range and extremely long battery life.
The second major novelty of the Trek E-Mountainbikes 2019 is the addition to the model range of women's models.
New are the E-MTB Fullys Powerfly WSD FS 5 and FS 7. The bikes are equipped with the same top equipment as the men's models, however, the frame differs, as it is perfectly matched to the female ergonomics. The deeper top tube provides a comfortable entry and more safety when descending. In addition, the colors of the bikes are cheerful and modern, just like the ladies. Trek is one of the few providers to bring pure e-mountain bikes for women to the market and success speaks for itself. The model range has expanded to at least 5 different women's models in 6 trendy colors with the new Fullys.
With the new Powerfly E bikes, Trek has once again turned to proven components, combining new technologies and innovations. All Powerfly e-bikes benefit from this, because all are equipped with the powerful but very compact Bosch Performance Line CX drive, which with 250 watts of power and a maximum torque of at least 75 Nm is perfect for outdoor use. The purist Bosch Purion is like the previous model again the intuitive control center of the bikes, because through the E-MTB mode, the support levels are largely done by the system. This allows the driver to focus fully on the track and not have to deal with the choice of support levels.
All Powerfly E bikes up from series 7 are equipped with a Vario seatpost that adds even more comfort and performance to the bike. The cables are laid inside, so cleaning becomes child's play and the look wins massive. Quickly and easily, every Powerfly can be equipped with mudguards, luggage carriers, lighting and side stand, all devices are already there. New in 2019, there is also a Powerfly e-bike, which is already equipped as standard with luggage rack, lighting and fenders and with the price of 2799, - € a perfect price-performance ratio. We are talking about the new E Mountainbike Powerfly Sport.
Something special on the Powerfly E-Mountainbikes 2019:
There are two models with carbon frames and absolute top equipment, the Powerfly LT 9.7 and 9.9. Equipped with the most proven and innovative components currently available on the market, it is the absolute top model of 2019.
