Our employees are constantly striving to find new, high-quality products, which we can offer in our online shop: With the new, high-quality Schwalbe tires, which were developed especially for e-bikes, they scored again.
Not any tire is suitable for e-bikes. in fact, it requires special quality criteria and safety certificates in order to cope for the e-bikes usual higher speeds and also the higher weight safely. This is also prescribed by the legislature and subdivided into tires for e-bikes with up to 25 km / h pedal support and e-bikes with up to 50 km / h support power. Tires that meet the guidelines for e-bikes have been awarded the ECE-R75 certificate.
Since January 2019 e-bike tires for mountain bikes, city and trekking bikes and for racing bikes from renowned manufacturer Schwalbe expand our product range in our online shop e-bikes4you.com.
Schwalbe Protection puncture protection
Schwalbe attaches great importance to quality, durability and innovation, as witnessed by many products and processes patented by Schwalbe. A big issue with e-bike tires is, of course, puncture protection and here, with its protection levels, has set a benchmark in terms of safety.
Almost all Schwalbe e-bike tires are characterized by high values on the Schwalbe Protection scale, there is even a series that can be described as "flat". Unflattening means that the tire reaches the level 7 out of 7 possible on the Schwalbe scale. This is achieved by using 5 mm special rubber as an inlay in the tire, this is the most effective protection against glitches that can be achieved. This award has the tires of the series Marathon: Marathon Plus and the Marathon PLUS MTB.
Level 6 out of 7 possible on the Protection Scale are tires equipped with modern tubeless technology. Special monofilament fabrics (SnakeSkin or MicroSkin) guarantee maximum puncture protection and prevent air loss in combination with sealing milk.
To this category belong for example Hans Dampf, Magic Mary, Nobby Nic and the Schwalbe G-One Allround.
Two more categories are included in the puncture protection level 6, namely the technology DualGuard and Double Defense. DualGuard combines two protective layer principles under the tread: 2 layers of nylon fabric and 2.5 mm highly elastic special rubber.
Equipped with this technologies are the Marathon GT, the Marathon GT 365 and the Marathon GT Tour.
Double Defense means combined puncture protection depending on the use of the tire. It is the protection under the tread combined with an effective side protection, so that a very high puncture safety can be achieved. This category includes Nobby Nic and the Smart Sam DD.
Innovative Schwalbe Compounds
In addition to the protection levels for puncture protection, Schwalbe has set very high standards for the rubber compounds that make up the tires. With the new compounds, the durability is massively extended, the weight kept extremely low, the perfect rolling behavior achieved and this with maximum damping and grip.
Small journey into the hystory of Schwalbe
Schwalbe has been producing tires since 1973. The founder Ralf Bohle specialized entirely in bicycle tires in order to develop a truly quality product out of the previously not very high-quality tires that were on the market. He has succeeded with many innovative technologies, such as the "unplattable" tire, the tubeless technology and the rediscovery of the balloon tires.
